Love from Land Rover: The Ultimate Surprise for One Defender Fan on Valentine's Day

This Valentine’s Day one Land Rover Defender fan in New Zealand got the best gift anyone could ever ask for. Take a look and read all about it here: http://bit.ly/1E801Er Four university friends from New Zealand had listed their beaten and broken 1957 Series I Land Rover, christened ‘The Landy’, for sale on an auction site, following 15 years of ownership. The listing told the story of their many adventures and their sorrow at parting with their beloved Land Rover. While Will Radford, Jeremy Wells, Anthony Dawson and James Shatwell thought they were closing a chapter with the sale, fate intervened when the team at Land Rover New Zealand read the ad and hatched a covert operation with Will’s wife, Claire, to give ‘The Landy’ a painstaking ground-up mechanical restoration. And now, for Valentine’s Day, the four friends have been reunited with their Series I thanks to Land Rover. Explore the advanced features of an iconic SUV. Land Rover Defender Red Wharf Bay: Behind The Scenes

Discover the advanced features of the Defender: http://www.landrover.com/vehicles/defender/index.html We have gone back to the place where it all began to celebrate the iconic Defender. A unique 1km sand drawing at Red Wharf Bay in Anglesey, UK, marks the launch of three exclusive limited edition models and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the Defender story. Creating the giant piece of temporary artwork at Red Wharf Bay required a fleet of six Land Rovers, each towing an agricultural 12-foot harrow to draw the unmistakable outline of the Defender in the sand. The vehicles chosen for the race against the Anglesey tides chart the evolution of the Defender from its introduction in 1948 to the present day.
